Thinh completed his PhD in Photonics at the OTRL- Victoria University. Thinh's
thesis, entitled "Determining Rare Earth Dopant Concentrations in Optical Fibres
and Waveguides", involved studying the spectroscopy of rare earth-doped fibres
and the effects of dopant concentration on the fluorescence lifetimes for
applications in fibre lasers/amplifiers and sensing.
Thinh lectures in the areas of physics, photonics data acquisition, and project
management in the School of
Engineering and Science in the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science. Thinh's
research interests include optical sensors and instrumentation, project
management and enterprise development.
