Welcome!

 

I am a Lecturer in the Water Engineering area at the School of Engineering and Science and also a staff at the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation (ISI) at Victoria University.  My key areas of interest include hydroinformatics, applications of data-driven modelling techniques in water resources, hydrologic modelling, optimization / model-calibration using evolutionary algorithms and applications of GIS.

 

Before joining VU, I worked as a post-doctorate fellow at the National University of Singapore and also at the University of Hong Kong. Details of my work experience can be found here. ü      Application of artificial neural networks, genetic programming, support vector machines, etc., for real-time flood forecasting and prediction of harmful algal blooms

ü      Using rainfall-runoff models like SOBEK, SWMM, Xinanjiang and MIKE11

·        Parameter optimization / auto-calibration

ü      Model calibration using Shuffled Complex Evolution and Genetic Algorithms
