Writing business letters isn't that simple. Few people can sit down and write a good business letter straight off. There are too many things to think about - how will the reader respond, what should I include, what should I do first, what words should I use, etc, etc.

These instructions follow a systematic step-by-step approach. By following them, you will be able to write a letter of request even if you have never written one before.

Although these instructions are specifically for a letter of request, most of the advice also applies to other business letters.

You should write a Letter of Request when your reader can give you what you want, but you can't order or pay them to do so.
