2. Ensure you understand what is being asked for
In this Topic, the questions are
straightforward but you need to ensure you answer the three parts.
The teacher appears to be asking for
you to:
- recognise that there is a problem
(Aboriginal health status versus non indigenous Australians)
- give reasons for the problem (why is
this the case?)
- propose ways to solve the problem
Most essays also have an
instruction, often at the end. In this case, it is Discuss.
The term Discuss
asks you to present the different aspects of a question or problem. You must give your
opinion of the topic and support it with carefully chosen and authoritative evidence.
