| Lecturers in the School of Nursing at Victoria University, Melbourne Australia, together with CALC multimedia, have developed two CD-ROMs that teach nursing and health science students all about blood pressure and how to measure it and physical examination of two body systems, the abdomen, thorax and lungs.
Both programs were made with the assistance of grants from the Committee for Advancement of University Teaching (CAUT), 1995 and the Committee for University Teaching and Staff Development (CUTSD), 1998.
Both programs were developed in response to the perceived need to provide students with simulated practice opportunities of these skills in order to develop competence and confidence before client/patient contact.
