Victoria University Exercise
Rehabilitation (VUER) provides services for people who want to
exercise and are living
with, or are at risk of, chronic disease, injuries or disabilities.
We aim to improve people's function, health and quality of life through
exercise and physical activity. VUER
works with and for clients to restore function (rehabilitation),
improve function (conditioning for work, recreation or activities of daily
living), or prevent new occurrence, relapse or further progression of a condition
(prevention).
VUER is active in three main areas (see menu
at left): Courses, Research and
Service (consultancy). Graduates from VUER are obtaining
employment in hospitals, clinics, industry (occupational rehab),
community health, professional sporting clubs, and as case
managers for WorkCover insurers. Others go into private practice under
Medicare and other compensable schemes. |
