This course aims to prepare students for future studies at tertiary level in computing or in a related field.



Target Group

English for computing students should have:

  • A minimum English language level of ASLPR 2
  • Some previous experience in using computers, such as word processing and operation of a keyboard
  • A clear study focus, such as entry into a Degree or Diploma program in Computing or a computing related area (e.g: accounting, business studies, secretarial studies

Note: For those who do not want to pursue a career in computing or a related field, or who are not yet ready to undertake this course, an Introduction to Computing course is offered at Werribee for those requiring continuing general ESL and a comprehensive introduction to computing skills. Introduction to computing subjects are also offered as a part of other courses.

 

Aims/Content


This course aims to prepare students for a vocation in a computer related area or future studies at tertiary level in Computing or in a related field. The course content comprises the following modules:
