The Athlete Career Education (ACE) Program was developed in 1995 by the Australian Institute of Sport in response to requests by key organisations within the Australian sporting industry for formal training of personnel servicing the personal and professional development of Australia’s elite athletes. Today, the Australian ACE program is viewed both nationally and internationally as a industry standard for which to develop and implement specialised career and education programs in sporting clubs, and institutes of sport. 

Victoria University, in collaboration with the ACE program, is pleased to offer  the Graduate Certificate in Career Counselling for Elite Performers, a program designed to prepare professionals to work within the elite performance industry.

The Graduate Certificate in Career Counselling for Elite Performers (Sport) - Course Code 21237VIC is a 2 semester (part-time) course that consists of 4 subjects:

  • VBK957 - The Elite Performance  Environment (Sport)
  • VBK954 - Counselling Foundations for working with Elite Performers
  • VBK955 - Career Planning for Elite Performers and
  • VBK956 - Application of Principles and Practice
