With support and guidance from the School of Education, Faculty of Human Development ALNARC has hosted an adult literacy mailing list for the purposes of disseminating information, promoting discussion and facilitating research in the field of Adult Literacy, Numeracy and Basic Education.

In 2002 and beyond an emphasis will be placed on developing a stronger link between the discussions on the list and research studies that explore questions about helpful resources, teaching tools and personal experiences in adult literacy teaching.

The list is open to anyone who is interested in the topic of literacy and numeracy in general. Anyone having access to the Internet can subscribe to the mailing list. The list is presently unmoderated.
