1. Welcome
Welcome to our first Exchange & Education Abroad Newsletter. We're hoping the newsletters prove to be an effective and informative way to communicate with you.

By now you all would have experienced what it's like to be a VU student, and you should be feeling very comfortable in your adopted environment (if you're not please let us know!!).

2. Victoria University Open Day

The Education Abroad team were present at VU Open Day on Sunday 8 August. The day was very successful and those who attended seemed to be having lots of fun. Did any of you attend? What did you think?

There were many "freebies" (free giveaways) on the day :coffee, hamburgers, fairy floss, lollies and entertainment.

3. Email Information
It's really great to see that most of you are using your VU email. There has been some great feedback from the Welcome Reception photos. According to the "weekly stats" on the site, the photos have been viewed 471 times and downloaded 40 times (well done guys!).

I've had a small response from people saying they are willing to share their email address with others exchange and study abroad students..........please let me know if you are willing to do this so I can compile a email list to distribute.

4. What's on!
The 2004 Olympic Games in Athens! I'm sure that you all have been watching to see how your home countries fare in the medal tally. However, now you're in Australia, I'm also sure you've experienced how much the Aussies support their Olympians, and that you have been cheering just as loud for the Aussies!
